Compare registration routes
DIFC or ADJD: compare the route, not just the fee
Both routes can be relevant for UAE Will planning, but they are not interchangeable. The right discussion includes eligibility, asset coverage, family requirements, document format, process and current court charges.
Coverage and Will type
DIFC publishes several Will categories with different coverage. ADJD has its own Civil Will process. The comparison should start with what the Will needs to cover rather than selecting a route from price alone.
Process and fees
The courts use different procedures and fee structures. DIFC fees vary by Will category, while ADJD currently publishes a Civil Will registration charge. All figures should be checked against the official source before proceeding.
Questions for the consultation
Ask which route fits the intended asset scope, what family points need to be included, what documents and translation are required, and what professional and court fees apply to the complete plan.
Official sources and review
