Abu Dhabi Civil Wills route
Understand the ADJD Civil Will registration option
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department states that non-UAE citizens may register a Will through the Civil Wills Office regardless of religion. The suitable route still depends on the person's circumstances and intended scope.
Published registration process
ADJD states that a Civil Will must be registered to be recognised as legally valid. Its published process starts with submitting the application and a copy of the Will to the Civil Wills Section. Current procedural requirements are confirmed before registration.
Language and document preparation
The preparation and translation steps depend on the approved document and registration requirements. The team explains what is needed for the selected route and coordinates the agreed preparation process.
Published court charge
ADJD currently publishes AED 950 for regular Civil Will registration and AED 2,500 for special registration. These are court charges and are separate from Kingsman's professional fee. The current amount and appropriate route are checked again before the customer proceeds.
Official sources and review
Prepared from official UAE Government, ADJD and DIFC Courts information. Prepared by Kingsman Wills. Last reviewed 31 August 2026. Court procedures and fees can change, so current requirements are confirmed before a customer proceeds.
